When I was growing up I fell in love with Barbara Streisand.  She is in my view one of the best female vocalists that have ever lived and I also really enjoyed her movies as well. Yentl was very special!

In fact I was once told by a sound engineer that he didn’t think my voice was commercial enough, that it was too like Delta Goodren and Barbara Streisand.  Well he could have had no idea he was comparing my voice to two of the most successful diva’s in the world.  At the time I thought it was an insult but on reflection it was the greatest compliment.

So I thought I’d share with you all one of the songs that I learned when I was in high school.

If you are looking for some music to relax in the tub that will take you on that relaxing journey and lift your spirits, look no further than the I Can Woman, Hayley Solich’s instrumental collection.

“When I compose my instrumental music, I often get the whole picture.  I hear each instrument that needs to be added and it is kind of like doing a tapestry, you have an idea of the end product, but until you add each thread you don’t see the whole picture clearly until the end of the process.  I feel divinely inspired when I compose my music and it just seems to have this soothing quality that is like a balm to the soul.” – Hayley Solich

Pop over to the I Can Woman’s site and listen to some of the samples and benefit from the half price New Year sale and save $ssss.

Found this on YouTube.com and it is so smooth and harmonious and beautiful.  Just thought I’d share it with you all.

I have really enjoyed watching Stan Walker’s journey as he has grown through the Australian Idol series.  His strength of character, his passion, his amazing voice, his willingness to stand for his faith and sing for the glory of God were all things that really inspired me.

I just thought I’d share with you the single that was his winning song and his newly released CD, Black Box. I believe this young man has a brilliant future ahead of him and I hope that it will be a prosperous road.
