Wow, Jackie. Thanks for posting your comment. You've definitely had the opposite journey to me. Isn't that so like life?

I smiled reading this as I experienced my boob size in a completely different order - in my early teens they went from zero to 42DD overnight (or so it seemed) resulting in my spine starting to bend. Not being sufficiently mature to handle the attention, it was extremely challenging to handle the wolf whistles and lewd comments, I put in place strategies to cope with it and built a barrier which has only just come down now I'm 48. Being only 5'1 I went outwards as far as upwards!

At 18 my uncle and father decided that they needed to come off - so I had a breast reduction. That was in the days before plastic surgery was commonplace. Making a molehill out of a mountain made me feel much happier and that's now how I handle most problems!

During pregnancy yes they grew and then quickly shrank, each time getting smaller. They had no use as feeders as the plumbing system had been mutilated.

Now I have two very small boobs and I guess after all these years I'm pretty happy with them and I acknowledge the journey we've been through together which has made me the person I now am.

Great article, thank you.

I think many women don't know how to honour their own breasts. We don't moisturise them or enjoy them ourselves. We seem to think they are just men attraction devicees but they are more than that.It isn't until breastfeeding that understand their capacities. But even then not all of their capacities.

Hayley, you were right on every count once again. I can't even count how many times, I thought to myself "she is correct" about this or that during this subject. I think that we just have to be happy with what we have (yes and I know much easier said than done!), however, nobody is perfect. And yes, I will never understand why men look at breasts that way....one of life's mysteries, I guess.
